Fun for kids at Ravine Gardens

PALATKA – Junior Ranger Day and an eco adventure are some of the events coming up in June at Ravine Gardens State Park.

Junior Rangers Day is June 2, when new and returning Junior Rangers are welcomed on a special day just for them.
New Junior Rangers will learn the core of what it means to be a Florida State Park Ranger while completing activities designed around 4 key aspects of being a Florida State Park Junior Ranger.

Returning Junior Rangers will have an opportunity to work with Ravine Gardens Park Rangers to complete additional activities and earn stamps for their Junior Ranger Passports!

Eco Adventure Days is a fun and educational way for children to discover the amazing diversity of Florida’s natural resources. Campers will learn about the diverse habitats of Ravine Gardens State Park, conduct scientific experiments in a fun environment, and even work on projects at the park like a real park ranger! This three day event will be filled with learning objectives and corresponding activities, games, and crafts.

This year’s theme is “Pollinators.”
Ravine Gardens State Park features beautiful gardens, trails, a steephead ravine system, and an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities. The park is offering a summer camp aimed at exploring the importance of pollinators!
This year camp will be provided for a variety of age groups:
Completing Kindergarten – 1st Grades – Wednesday, June 13 – Friday June 15.

Completing 2nd – 5th Grades – Wednesday, June 27 – Friday, June 29, 2018

Completing 6th – 8th Grades – Wednesday, July 11 – Friday, July 13, 2018

When registering, select the correct session based on the grade that your child will be completing/completed during the 2017/2018 school year.
For all sessions: Drop-off starts at 7:30 a.m. with camp starting at 8:00am. Pick-up will be at 2:00 p.m.
