Pool’s open, water taxi available

SAINT AUGUSTINE – News from the City of St. Augustine:

The Galimore Community Pool has opened for the summer and will be available through Sept. 30. Marking the sixth season since its complete renovation and upgrade by the city in 2013, the Galimore Community Pool has proven to be one of the community’s most popular summer gathering spots for families and friends. Operated by the St. Augustine Family YMCA, the pool is part of the Willie Galimore Community Center at 399 Riberia St.

Water taxi service between the St. Augustine Municipal Marina and Vilano Beach pier began May 26.

Operating between 11 a.m. and 6:15pm, the service will depart the Municipal Marina every 30 minutes on the quarter hour and from Vilano Beach pier every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. The cost per person is $8one-way and $140 round trip.
