SAINT AUGUSTINE: The sweet sounds of summer continue as area concerts are spotlighted through Labor Day.
Music by the Sea, sponsored by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, continues through Sept. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. and each concert will have dinner available from a local restaurant.
The June 13 concert features Jax Salsa Band playing Latin rhythms. Amici’s Italian Restaurant will provide food. June 20 Take Cover shares music from the 1980’s, 1990’s and more. La Strada will serve Italian food.
Rounding out the June schedule Salt Driven Ride plays Southern and classic rock, and By Design Catering will provide the food. The concerts are free.
Concerts in the Plaza de la Constitucion, in downtown St. Augustine, begqn May 31 and continue until Aug. 30. There is no charge. Those attending should bring lounge chairs for seating. Picnic dinners are popular, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed. Concerts in the Plaza continue from 7 to 9 p.m. each Thursday during the summer.
June 7 features Florida Brass Quintet, sharing an ensemble in Canadian Brass style. The Mike Hart Band playing Blues, rock, R&B and jazz, is on the schedule for June 14; and Rob Ellis Peck & Friends play classic bluesy rock June 21.
The city series concludes its June schedule June 28 when Big Pineapple plays Hawaiian jazz.
Music in the Park is presented by Anastasia State Park from 6 to 8 p.m. in the park’s beach pavilion adjacent to Island Beach Grill. There is an open jam session from 5 to 6 p.m. each time. The concert is free with park admission of $8 per vehicle with two to eight persons; and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclist.
The next Music in the Park is June 23, featuring The Conch Fritters with island sounds and tropical rock.
