Take a Step in Preserving Local History

PALATKA – The Palatka Library Archives is hosting the Florida Public Archaeology Network’s October Cemetery Dash.  Some learn how to preserve our local history by monitoring and assessing our local cemeteries in Putnam County.  The team will meet at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 5th at the Palatka Headquarters Library, where they will then drive out to their destination cemetery.  This hands-on workshop in cemetery monitoring is fun and free, and requires no experience.  People of all ages are encouraged to participate.
