SAINT AUGUSTINE – The Women’s Networking organization announces a change in meeting schedule The group will alternate between the Raintree for happy hour and Terra & Acqua.
Happy hour will be on the 3rd Thursday in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The luncheon will be on the 3rd Wednesday in February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Two opening events are planned to celebrate “Refractions”, the exhibit featuring the collaboration between the Ancient City Poets and fine artist Anna Miller. Grand opening breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 8:15 – 9 a.m., in the Rotunda prior to the regularly scheduled St. Johns County Commission meeting. Jan. 27 is open mic reading that will feature poems and poets from the Anna Miller exhibition, followed by an open mic on the theme of “The New Year is Here.”
The Woman’s March is scheduled Saturday, Jan. 19 . The walking procession begins at 10 a.m. from the east side of the Bridge of Lions, continuing across the bridge using the north sidewalk, then north along the seawall to the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.
The 10 a.m. bridge opening will be suspended per an approved request by the Florida Department of Transportation and the US Coast Guard. St. Augustine Police Department officers will assist with pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration of the march, which is expected to be clear of the bridge by 10:45am.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Remembrance is Monday, Jan. 21.
The procession will depart St. Paul’s AME Church, 85 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. at 11:30am. and walk along M. L. King, Jr. Ave., then King St. to the Gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitución for an event lasting until 3:00pm.
The procession will necessitate a brief interruption of vehicular traffic along M. L. King, Jr. Ave. and King St. during the procession lasting for approximately 15 minutes. Motorists may wish to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
