SAINT AUGUSTINE – First Congregation Sons of Israel announces Rabbi Joel Fox will be coming to St. Augustine to lead our Shabbat services Jan. 25 and 26.
The Erev Shabbat service begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, and the Shabbat service begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Rabbi Fox highlights the beauty of Jewish liturgical music and provides for a very moving and meaningful worship service. An informational flyer is attached. I hope you will be able to come this weekend.
Karen Stern will be sponsoring the Oneg Shabbat following the Friday evening service, and Bob Schachter will be sponsoring the light kiddush lunch following Saturday’s Shabbat service.
NEW RADIO STATION
Feb. 1 is the launch date for St. Augustine Country 106.3 FM, announces Flagler Broadcasting vice president and general manager David Ayres. The 106.3 studios are co-located with Beach 105.5 in the St. Augustine Record building and owned by Flagler Broadcasting LLC.
Local news, traffic and weather will be part of the presentations.
PEOPLE’S LAW SCHOOL
The St. Johns Legal Aid Staff presents free one-hyour legal classes at 4 p.m. at the Southeast Library, 6670 U.S. 1 South.

Legally Speaking Series, sponsored by the Council on Aging and presented at 10 a.m. at River House, 179 Marine St., are presented by Attorney Megan Wall and St. Johns County Legal Aid. The Feb. 1 topic is “Exploitation of the Elderly and Vulnerable.”
