Worship schedule at Saint Anastasia

SAINT AUGUSTINE – Palms will be blessed and distributed at the 4 p.m. Mass April 13 and at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. Masses Palm Sunday, April 14 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, A1A South.

The schedule has also been announced for Holy Week and Easter:

HOLY WEEK

Wednesday (April 17) Holy Week movies: “The Passion of the Christ” at 5:30 p.m. concurrently, there will be a showing of “Star,” a children’s movie. Both movies will be shown in the St. Enda of Aran Formation Center Celebration Hall. Pizza and soda will be provided.

 Holy Thursday (April 18)

                                                Morning Prayer 9 a.m.

                                Mass of the Lord’s Supper 6 p.m.

Good Friday (April 19)

                                Morning Prayer 9 a.m.,

                                Proclamation of the Lord’s Passion 3 p.m.,

                                Stations of the Cross 6 p.m.

                                (Note—there will be no fish fry on Good Friday)

Holy Saturday (April 20)

                                Morning Prayer 9 a.m.,

                                Blessing of Easter food 12 Noon

                                Easter Vigil 8:30 p.m. (There will be no 4 p.m. Mass)

Easter Sunday (April 21)

                                Masses 7, 9, and 11 a.m.

                                Easter Egg hunt on the church grounds after the 11 a.m. Mass

 The church is located at 5205 A1A South on Anastasia Island. Everyone is welcome. Parking is free.  Call 471-5364 for information.

Easter Egg Hunt

Children in 5th grade or younger are invited to hunt Easter eggs on the church grounds at 12:15 p.m., following 11 a.m. Easter Sunday Mass. The hunt begins with a prayer in the church Community Center. Children will be dismissed by age group to begin the hunt. A reception will follow and the Easter bunny will be visiting for photos.
