Main Street award presented
SAINT AUGUSTINE – Vilano Beach Main Street has been awarded the Secretary o State’s 2019 Florida Main Street honor.
Presentation was made July 25 by Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee at the annual conference in Orlando. Conference attendees and representatives for Vilano Beach Main Street: Sacha Martin, Vivian Browning, Crawford Boyd and Sallie O’Hara accept the Merit Award for Special Events from Tim Parsons, FL Department of State Historic Preservation Officer.
The awards program showcases the innovative practices and projects that contribute to the success of local Main Street programs.
Two award categories were presented including the Honor Awards, which highlight the very “best of the best” Main Street communities, and the Merit Awards, which recognize outstanding examples of redevelopment and leadership. Twenty-six honor and merit awards were presented at the Florida Main Street Annual Conference in Orlando’s Church Street District.
