Shabbat rites at synagogue
SAINT AUGUSTINE – Rabbi Bella Bogart will be leading Shabbat Services at 10 a.m. Dec. 21 at First Congregation Sons of Israel; and the Erev Hanukkah service at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Cordova Street synagogue.
Following the service, the Annual Latke Party begins at sundown. There will be a latke bar with various toppings, salad, donuts, and the like. Also, there will be stories, music, a raffle, and much laughter. Bring your own menorah for the candle lighting, this first night of Hanukkah. We will provide the candles.
Prices include the dinner and raffle tickets. Adults $10 (with 2 raffle tickets); $18 (with 5 raffle tickets); and $25 (with 8 raffle tickets. Students $5 (ages 13—17, one raffle ticket). Children, free (ages 12 and under, no ticket).
