‘Night of Stars’ at St. Anastasia

SAINT AUGUSTINE – Vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists and artists will come together on Feb. 8 at the Night of the Stars program sponsored by the Music Department of St. Anastasia Catholic Church. The program gets underway at 7 p.m. in Celebration Hall located in the St. Enda of Aran Formation Center on the church campus, 5202 A1A South on Anastasia Island.

Emceed by Luis Brown and accompanied by Peter Morin, vocalists will perform music from Broadway, Walt Disney World and classical repertoires. Among the performers are local high school seniors who are pursuing performance careers, plus talented local adults. Winner of the competition will earn the Night of the Stars Choice Prize Award, selected by audience votes based on $5 per vote contributions.

In addition to the vocalists there will also be performances by local ballet and modern-style dancers, a variety of instrumentalists, and display of locally created paintings and pottery works.

Admission to the event is $10 with free admission for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the church building fund. Parking is free.  For information email staccmusic@aol.com)
