Flagler forum programs continue

SAINT AUGUSTINE – Richard Wike, of the Pew Research Center, presents “Five Reasons the World is Worried” Feb. 12 as part of the Forum on Government  and Public Policy series. Free and open to the public, the program begins at 7 p.m. at Flagler College Lewis Auditorium, 14 Granada St.

As director of Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Research, Wike specializes in topics of international public opinion. He has written several Pew Research Center reports and gives talks and presentations to various audiences, including government, business groups and academic conferences.

Wike holds a doctorate in political science from Emory University. Before joining Pew Research Center, he served as a senior associate at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, where he provided strategic advice on political campaigns to international and corporate clients.

He has also written pieces for online and print publications, such as The Atlantic, The Guardian, Politico, CNN and BBC. Wike has been interviewed by American news organizations, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NBC and NPR, as well as international news organizations, such as The Financial Times, El País, Deutsche Welle and France 24.

For more than 30 years, the Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy has invited nationally-recognized journalists and commentators to St. Augustine to discuss issues of importance in regional, state and federal government. All Forums take place in Lewis Auditorium, 14 Granada St., at 7 p.m.

Forums are free and open to the public, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
