Pilot Club caladium sale begins

SAINT AUGUSTINE – The Pilot Club of St. Augustine is once again offering caladium bulbs for sale. Colors include White Aaron, Red Flash and pink bulbs, Carolyn Whorton. Due to the increase in price of the distributor, the cost this year has increased. The bulbs are obtained through Lake Country Farms in Lake Placid, Fl., the farm from which the Pilot Club has purchased bulbs for many years.
New pricing is: $11 for 10 bulbs; $25 for 25 bulbs; $45 for 50; and $80 for 100.

Call 904-824-1268 or 904-471-2246 to order. Orders will be taken through March 12. Pick-up will be March 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at Watson Realty parking lot, U.S. 1 South. Those order bulbs may leave a message at either phone number.
On March 14, cabbage will also be sold just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Proceeds benefit the Donnie Heymen Scholarship Fund, a fund which supports youth involved in the building trade. This farm-fresh cabbage comes from Hastings.
Proceeds from the caladium bulb sales are used for a variety of club projects ranging from support of youth to patriotic programs.
