Night fest, fun run at the Lighthouse
SAINT AUGUSTINE – In an annual celebration of the long-time bond between the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Inc. and the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, Inc. (JSL), the Museum will host the annual Night Fest on Saturday, Feb. 29 from 4 to 8 PM. Night Fest is held in conjunction with the JSL’s 38th annual Lighthouse 5K & Fun Run at the St. Augustine Light Station..
The Annual Night Fest started as JSL Community Day in 1994 with the Junior Service League celebrating the preservation of the lighthouse tower, the Keepers’ House, and the relighting of the original Fresnel lens. The restoration project ran from 1980 to 1994, raising $1.2 million.
Admission is FREE, and a VIP tent is available to Museum Members.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, the Junior Service League of St. Augustine hosts the Lighthouse 5k & Fun Run on Saturday Feb. 29 at 5 PM.
The inaugural race in 1983 was originally titled the “Bud Light Twilight Lighthouse Run.”
Hosted by RaceSmith, Inc. the Lighthouse 5K is a chipped race that serves as a qualifier for the famed Gate River Run. The Fun Run is a true treat for the little runners! Don’t miss the awards ceremony following the race on the beautiful Lighthouse grounds.
Our Night Fest celebration begins immediately following the race and includes activities for the kids such as face painting, arts and crafts, STEAM projects, photos with pirates, live music, pizza, wine & beer, and more. Don’t miss the opportunity to support the Museum and climb the beautiful tower for FREE!
Proceeds from the Lighthouse 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run benefit numerous JSL service projects and provide financial support for local nonprofit organizations in our community.
