SAINT AUGUSTINE – You don’t have to be Irish nor are you required to wear green to enjoy the music of Ireland at a concert featuring the Paul Brock Traditional Irish Band at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 1 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Be prepared for plenty of toe-tapping music as button accordion and melodeon player Paul Brock and his band perform traditional Irish folk music including selections from their award-winning album Green Grass Blue Grass.
Brock co-founded Brock McGuire Band in 2000 with fiddle player Manus McGuire. The band has gone on to record a number of highly acclaimed albums including Green Grass Blue Grass, which was performed in collaboration with 14-time GRAMMY Award winner Ricky Skaggs. The album celebrates the connection between Appalachian and Irish music.
The concert will take place in Celebration Hall on the campus of the church located at 5205 A1A South on Anastasia Island. Admission is $10. Parking is free. For information contact Peter Morin, director of music, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
