Pilots recognize COA caregivers; ready for caladium sale, bunco party

SAINT AUGUSTINE – Jo Brown, president of the Pilot Club of St. Augustine, visited the Council on Aging Feb. 26 to present gift cards to those who are serving as caregivers for Alzheimer patients. This is part of the club’s Pick Me Up program recognizing individuals who are dealing with various bumps in their lives. The pick-me-ups are part of an overall community service program undertaken by the Pilot Club. Projects range from a war memorial in the Plaza de la Constituction remember whose who gave to lives in the service of their country to youth programs, including support of the county 4-H program and the Anchor Club at St. Joseph Academy.
Upcoming for the club is sale of caladium bulbs. Call 824-1268 o 471-2246 for further information and to place orders. Bulbs can be picked up March 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at Watson Realty parking lot, U.S. 1 South.
Also upcoming is a Bunco party March 21; the scholarship dinner April 15; and a Datil Pepper High Tea June 6.
