Cultural Council news

Debra Weller

“More than 40 St. Johns County-based individual artists and arts organizations have received financial support from the St. Johns Cultural Council during April, either through our online concert series or our Arts Emergency Fund.  More than $15,000 has been distributed in the past three weeks, depleting our original funding sources.”

“We are happy to share that our board has approved an additional transfer to the Arts Emergency Fund that will allow us to process another round of applications.  If you have already applied and received notice that no funds were available you do not need to apply again:  your original application will be reviewed by our committee.  If you have not applied, please download the application here; complete it, then scan and email no later than Wednesday, April 29th to christina@historiccoastculture.com.  Unfortunately, due to stay-at-home orders, applications must be emailed rather than hand delivered or mailed.
Please remember that only artists who live in St. Johns County and small, St. Johns County-based non-profit arts organizations (with total annual revenue of less than $150,000) are eligible for this grant, and that not every application can be approved for funding.  Questions about the Fund may also be submitted by email.

“Donations to the fund are greatly appreciated, and may be made at www.stjohnsculture/donate.  100% of any donation will be distributed to local artists and arts organizations.”
