Growing ficus, grapefruit trees

Q: I have a 10-foot variegated ficus tree in an atrium. Some of the leaves are falling off. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

A: If you see new growth emerging on your ficus tree, then there is no need for concern.

Q: I have a seedless grapefruit tree growing in a pot. What should I do with it?

A: The grapefruit tree should be in a sunny spot for best growth. Fertilize it with a granular product three times a year. If you are going to keep it containerized you will eventually need to put it into a 15-gallon or larger pot.
