Remembering the fallen

PALATKA – Memorial Day was saluted in Palatka when three small U.S. Flags were placed to remember three Putnam County World War II Submarine vets still on Eternal Patrol.

Saluted were SD2 Dewitt Harris, USS Dorado (SS-248) / F1c Elton Brubaker, USS Flier (SS-250) / Ens. Basal Pearce, Jr., USS Tang (SS-305)

Participating in the salute were JJ Lynch, Norman Ray and J.R. Morrow “Doc” Sweany.
