4-H lists summer plans

SAINT JOHNS COUNTY – The following is information provided by St. Johns County 4-H for this summer season:

Virtual Summer Day Camps

Other State Events

  • See matrix below for in-person state events .  Updates will be published as they become available.

CLUB LEADERS: Because of COVID 19 sanitation protocol, there will be fewer days available for room reservations.  If you need rooms in the next 4-H year, contact one of us as soon as possible so that we can get it in the books.  Rooms are filling up fast.  Send your request to kcanderson@sjcfl.us. Include date and time of activity in your request.  Once she receives your request, she will let you know whether the room is available.

CALENDAR: In anticipation of the end of the prohibition of 4-H programming on August 1st, we have begun scheduling events and activities.  Please know that while in-person programming will begin again, there may need to be some modifications to delivery.  We will keep you posted as the state releases new guidelines.  2020-2021 Calendar is on the website.  The Officer Retreat is not on the calendar as we are unable to reserve the facility right now with the closures.  If it  becomes a possibility, we will make it happen.

Please note: The 2020 Datil Pepper Fall Festival has been cancelled.

WORK LOCATIONS: Even though the state has transitioned to Stage One, we are still both working at alternate locations three to four days a week.  Our schedules change weekly as we are in the field shooting the video series and are directed to have limited personnel in the office at any time.  According to University guidance, all efforts should be made to conduct business virtually.  We still cannot provide in-person programming or hold any type of group event.  We can be contacted by email or if you need to speak to Julia, she can be reached at the cell phone below between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.  If you would like to meet with one of us during regular business hours, we can arrange that using Zoom.

We encourage you to watch our video series and become inspired to explore the outdoors.  Stay safe!
