St. Augustine holiday news
SAINT AUGUSTINE – The following includes information from the latest bulletin from the City of St. Augustine:
Offices for the City of St. Augustine will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Solid waste collections will remain on schedule.
Parking in City-owned parking lots and on-street parking is free on all national holidays, including July 4, except for the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Historic Downtown Parking Facility. Drivers are urged to confirm if a lot is owned by the City of St. Augustine and not a private operator, as many of those lots have strict towing policies.
Coquina Park will be opening to the public very soon! So far, work completed includes: sod installation, planting oak and palm trees, landscaping, irrigation, in-fill dirt grading, privacy fence and head wall along the southern boundary, Coquina ditch maintenance, and one-way valve installation at Arricola/Arredondo intersection.
Be sure to check it out on Thursday, July 2, its official first day open to the public!
