Parking news from the city
SAINT AUGUSTINE – News from the City of St. Augustine:
While Monday, October 12 is a nationally recognized holiday for the observance of Columbus Day, offices for the City of St. Augustine will remain open for business.
As with all national holidays, there is no charge for parking in metered on-street spaces and parking lots managed by the City.
Parking will be enforced for all vehicles parked illegally, including in areas reserved for delivery, franchised sightseeing vehicles and taxis, or vehicles on sidewalks or against yellow curbs.
Costs for parking in the Historic Downtown Parking Facility remain unchanged.
The City of St. Augustine is preparing for motorcycle enthusiasts who are
visiting the area for Biketoberfest®, which runs Thursday-Sunday, October 15-18.
As has been the custom, the City has designated a parking area for motorcycles along Cathedral Pl. adjacent to the Plaza de la Constitución, but parking is not complimentary. The parking area has been marked with traffic cones and signs stating that the area is reserved for motorcycles and those using the space must pay to park.
