Spotlight on Forrest Masters
SAINT AUGUSTINE – NOTE: The Pilot Club of St. Augustine is paying tribute to youth they have sponsored through the years. This month’s spotlight is on Forrest Masters, Ph.D.
In its long history in St. Augustine , the Pilot Club has welcomed a variety of talented youth involved in 4-H in St. Johns County. Many of these outstanding youngsters have been guided by Pilot Nettie Ruth Brown.

Among them is Forrest Masters, Ph.D., son of Ann Browning Masters and Jeremy Masters of St. Augustine. As a youth he was deeply involved in 4-H, including serving as both state president and national president.
That care and respect for his community has carried into his adulthood, as Pilot Kay Burtin learned. Kay reports: “When the coronavirus first struck,” Forrest “obtained permission to go onto the closed campus at the University of Florida, gathered colleagues and developed ways of making masks and Aerosol boxes -a cover for patients to allow doctors to work with less exposure from a Coronavirus patient.”
